Get current Cursor Position in Word (VSTO)

Is there a way for a Word Add-In to get the current cursor position within the document/on screen (e.g. to display my own control next to it)?

How do I find the cursor position in Word?

In Microsoft Word, you may quickly move the cursor to the location of the last edit you made to a document by pressing the keyboard shortcut Shift + F5 . Pressing this shortcut again moves back to the position two edits ago.

How do I change the cursor position in Word?

Using a combination of keystrokes can also move the cursor further – e.g. holding down the Ctrl (control) key and pressing the left arrow key will move the cursor left one word. Holding down Ctrl and pressing the up arrow key will move the cursor to the start of each paragraph.
