If you want know how to find your IP address, visit the WhatIsMyIP.com home page to see your IP address as it is listed. This is your public IP; it will also tell you what your IP location is and who your ISP is.

How do I find a device by IP address? In Windows, go to All Programs -> Accessories. Then right-click on Command Prompt. Choose Run As Administrator and type in nslookup %ipaddress% putting an IP address instead of %ipaddress%.

I realize this question is old, but this may still help other people. I found a free / open source (so you can even run your own instance and not be subject to their hourly limit of 10,000 requests) IP geolocation database: http://freegeoip.net/
