Firebase Deployment Error: Build failed: npm ERR! code EUSAGE

Question

I am currently working with Firebase hosting but suddenly faced deployment errors. I tried all possible solutions but deployment errors were getting multiple times. So now requires community help. Please help me to solve this problem.

Functions deploy had errors with the following functions:
        api(us-central1)
        api-app:helloWorld(us-central1)

Please help me to solve this problem.

Here is what worked for me:

Delete package-lock.json

Then try to redeploy your project firebase deploy

NB: this solution is not ideal but that's the only thing that's working for me at the moment
