Launch the SQL Server Setup program (setup.exe) from SQL Server installation media. After prerequisites and system verification, the Setup program will display the SQL Server Installation Center page. Click Maintenance in the left-hand navigation area, and then click Repair to start the repair operation.
System RequirementsNET Framework 2.0 SP2. For 32-bit systems an Intel or compatible processor, 1GHz or faster (2 GHz or faster is recommended) For 64-bit systems a 1.4 GHz or faster processor. 512 MB RAM (2 GB or more recommended)
SQL Server 2008 is supported on Windows 8/Windows Server 2012 but requires a minimum of Service Pack 3.
Select Run this program (ignore the warning) and then install SQL Server 2008 SP3 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27594.
