I am experiencing an inherent problem when using eclipse for Java EE in ubuntu 16.04.
The program hangs when opening a new project and does not show any dialog boxes or display the contents of windows of different menu items. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the IDE a couple of times but to no avail

Downgrade to ubuntu 15 and Try eclipse luna
