I installed the ec2 api following the amazon guide. I setted up the access id and secret as environment variable.
Here it is my profile:
export AWS_ACCESS_KEY=XXXXX
export AWS_SECRET_KEY=XXXXXX
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-amd64/jre
export EC2_HOME=/usr/local/ec2/ec2-api-tools-1.7.1.0
export PATH=$PATH:$EC2_HOME/bin
Everythings looks configured as asked, but i can't connect to aws.
Here the output of the command ec2-describe-regions in verbose mode:

An "Unable to locate credentials" error indicates that Amazon S3 can't find the credentials to authenticate AWS API calls. To resolve this issue, make sure that your AWS credentials are correctly configured in the AWS CLI.
To validate a user's credentials with the AWS CLI, run the sts get-caller-identity command. The command returns details about the user's credentials if they are valid, otherwise it throws an error.
The error "the Security Token included in the Request in Invalid" can occur for multiple reasons: The user's credentials are inactive. Open the IAM console, click on the user, and in the Security Credentials tab, make sure the security credentials of the user are active.
Check that the server clock is synchronized.
If the clock is delayed, can cause this error:
AWS was not able to validate the provided access credentials
