How to change Display Zoom feature in iPhone 6 and 6 Plus simulators? Original iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have this feature in Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Display Zoom (View) with values Standard and Zoomed.
Use Zoom. Double-tap the screen with three fingers or use accessibility shortcuts to turn on Zoom. To see more of the screen, do any of the following: Adjust the magnification: Double-tap the screen with three fingers (without lifting your fingers after the second tap), then drag up or down.
You can move the two gray circles that represent your fingers around the screen by holding Option and Shift and moving the mouse. That's it!
What Apple does, when you select “Zoomed,” is they treat your iPhone as if it's a different model— one with a smaller screen, and fewer pixels. If you take the image that would have fit on a smaller screen, but you stretch it to fit a larger screen, everything is bigger. And that's how Zoomed works.
As of Xcode 12 (and perhaps earlier) Settings -> Developer -> View -> Zoomed
(tap Set) will adjust the simulator to show with Display Zoom. This is helpful as the iPhone 11 Pro
, iPhone 12 mini
, iPhone 12
, and iPhone 12 Pro
all run at a previously unused resolution of 320 x 693. For more information check out this excellent article by Geoff Hackworth.
