When I run grunt serve, it automatically injects the following code in in the index.html.

I don't want this to happen. How do I disable it?
I tried all the options mentioned here, but it didn't get disable.

I had the same issue where none of these answers worked for me.
Ultimately I did the following which did work:
npm update
Changed the following lines in my Grunt.js
watch: {
livereload: {
options: {
livereload: false <-- this line
}
}
connect: {

port: 9000,

livereload: false <-- this line
}
As all of the answers here didn't work for me I found out to simply disable the injection of the livereload script to the client:

Type: Boolean or Number, Default: false
Set to true or a port number to inject a live reload script tag into your page using connect-livereload.
So all that had to be done was to comment out the livereload line in the Gruntfile.js:

Please note that this is only a quick solution for temporarily disabling livereload, as it only disables injecting the livereload script tag in the HTML page, but still keeps all the file watchers running on the server side.
