Is there a way to CSS style an InfoPath 2007 form rendered by Forms Server 2007? It seems to be somewhat of a "black box", but the formatting options in the Infopath client are pretty limited.
InfoPath is gradually being replaced by Power Apps, which is envisioned as a platform for building new business apps on top of current Microsoft services such as SharePoint, Azure, Office 365, etc.
In SharePoint on-premise, InfoPath Services will remain supported until 2026.
On the Settings menu, click Settings, and then click Form Library Settings. Under General Settings, click Advanced settings. In the Document Template section, click Edit Template. The form template will open in Microsoft Office InfoPath.
The designer is used for creating new forms and publishing it to SharePoint or some other location. The filler is only used to fill out existing forms.
Here is a blogpost related to your question.
