I built and run an iPhone application on iPod Touch 2.2.1 device, got some problems and made a fix attempt. Now trying to re-build & run the application gives two (2) error popup notes:
Could not receive a message from the device [OK]
Google couldn't find this! The device itself is working happily, I can even launch and use the app I'm trying to install. iTunes looks like it's still connected... What could be the problem?
What to do when your iPhone isn't receiving messages. Your first step should be to restart your iPhone. Often, just turning it off and back on again can solve myriad problems with apps, network connections, and other technical glitches. Check your network connection to make sure that you have connectivity.
Make Sure MMS and Group Messaging Are Enabled While all iPhones can receive text messages by default, some might have MMS and Group Messaging disabled. If an Android user sends a picture, emoji, sticker, or sends a group message, you won't receive it on your iPhone until the MMS and Group Messaging options are enabled.
Steps to follow when Android is not receiving text messages: Clear the cache from your text app. Make sure your SIM card is inserted properly. Ensure your phone is not in Airplane Mode. Confirm that your carrier supports SMS and MMS messaging.
The most common cause of the can't receive texts from one person error is if you have included the contact in your phone's blocked numbers list. So, the first thing that you should check is your list of blocked contacts.
Restart the iPhone.
Restart your iPhone device. Also, restart Xcode. This worked for me.
