Cannot build Boost Library on Windows 11

I am on Windows 11, and I cannot build Boost C++ library.

I installed successfully Microsoft Visual Sutdio 2022, downloaded boost1.83.0, unzipped it, did from the Microsoft Visual Studio Command Prompt

Sorry I originally wrote too soon and my original solution did not work.

The issue we're running into is documented as a boost issue and resolved as a b2 issue.

The summary of the change within boost is to patch msvc.jam as in the b2 pull request linked above

I was doing this on a Windows CI system (no patch support), so implemented it successfully against 1.79.0 using the following Powershell incantation(s):

(Get-Content tools/build/src/tools/msvc.jam) -replace '(MATCH.*14\.)3', '$1[34]' | Out-File tools/build/src/tools/msvc.jam.2

Move-Item -Force tools/build/src/tools/msvc.jam.2 tools/build/src/tools/msvc.jam

Unlike my previous suggestion - no special arguments are required - follow the normal build process. However to avoid incorrect cached info from your previous failures pass the --reconfigure flag to b2

.\b2.exe --reconfigure install        ... your other options too
