I have the MS-Excel 2010 "Starter Edition" - it comes bundled into pre-built PCs.
Does this edition support VBA macros? I cannot tell.
I searched and I am still not clear on this.
You can access the VBA environment in Excel 2010 by opening the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window.
On the Developer tab, click Visual Basic. If you start Microsoft Access 2010, click Visual Basic on the Database Tools tab. On the Tools menu, click Options. In the Options dialog box, select any option that you want to enable, and then click OK.
Microsoft will not block VBA macros by default in downloaded Office documents. The company has tested a default block for VBA macros since April 2022, but decided against rolling it out to general users. VBA macros present a security risk because they can be used to as part of malware and phishing attacks.
No, unfortunately you can't use VBA in starter edition. It's one of the features that are disabled. It's available in the Standard or Premium editions.
