Block selection: a method for segmenting a page image of various editing styles. Abstract: This paper presents a page segmentation method called block selection which not only segments the page image into categorized blocks but also provides a novel tree structure to represent the page blocks for selection.
Solution for Eclipse:Hold Alt and press ↑ and ↓ . Alt + ↑ and ↓ will move an entire line up or down, so just move it back and you end up with the entire line selected.
Position the cursor anywhere inside or at the start/end of the method. Press Alt+Shift+Up several times until the method is selected. Each time you press this key, Eclipse will select the enclosing element of the current selection.
Block selection is available since Eclipse 3.5.
You can toggle between standard and block selection using:
Alt + Shift + A
Opt + Cmd + A (on Mac)
or press Ctrl+3 (Cmd+3 on Mac), type "toggle block" and select Toggle Block Selection command.
Column mode is in Eclipse 3.5. The linked site also contains a patch for 3.4.0 (only).
If you are on a mac you can use option+command+A
Use Ctrl+3
and write "block" in popup.
You can also use shortcut Alt+Shift+A
. You can always see list of shortcuts with Ctrl+Shift+L
. Block selection shortcut is on the bottom of this list.
