Is there any way to delete items from Azure Table storage without creating a worker to delete based on timestamp ? I want some solution like in Azure cache service where we can specify time span for the message.
Azure table storage is being deprecated in favor of Azure Cosmos DB. Azure Cosmos DB offers many advantages over Azure table storage, such as: -Azure Cosmos DB is scalable.
Certain features of NServiceBus require persistence to permanently store data. Among them are subscription storage, sagas, and outbox. Various storage options are available including Azure Table and Azure Cosmos DB Table API.
Azure Storage Table was not created by God, it was created by folks like us (much smarter though). It has limitations on size of a single row (1 MB), size of a single column (64KB), number of columns per row (255) and so on.
Azure tables are only cheaper than SQL Azure if the data access pattern is relatively light, since tables have a per-transaction fee and SQL Azure doesn't.
Table Storage is a durable store, and row entities don't have an expiration date. A committed write stays in storage until you delete it. You'd need some type of scheduled task to periodically clean out data based on timestamp or other metadata.
