With the Automatic Updates feature, Windows can automatically keep the computer up to date with the latest updates and enhancements. You no longer have to search for critical updates and information; Windows delivers them directly to the computer.
By default, installations of Microsoft Office are configured to automatically update your Office installation when new updates are made publicly available.
By default, Microsoft automatically keeps your Office applications up to date. However, it's possible to disable this feature. If you did disable automatic updates, we recommend turning it back on so you always have the latest available version.
