Append mode on Google Drive

Is it possible to perform "append" operations on a file on Google Drive?

Let's say I want to save log entries "as-they-come-in" using Google Drive, is there some sort of "append only" operation available?

What does adding a star to a file in Google Drive do?

Star important files and foldersFlag important files or folders to quickly find them later. Right-click a file or folder and select Add to Starred. (Optional) To see all your starred files and folders, on the left, click Starred.

Can multiple people add to a Google Drive folder?

Can organize, add, & edit: If they're signed into a Google account, people can open, edit, delete, or move any files within the folder. People can also add files to the folder.

It is not currently possible to append data to a file in Drive without uploading a completely new copy of the file with the data appended. This is a feature we're considering, but I don't have a timeline at this time.
