I used to run a Ruby on Rails consulting firm, until its acquisition by another firm a few years ago. I was also co-founder and chief software architect of a Rails-powered online personals site, which recently became a part of OKCupid.

Thus happily liberated from the Mac and TextMate, I have been learning various .NET technologies in order to build personal tools to enable research and writing (most recently, an open-source OneNote plugin to help in organizing research quotations).
