Hi! My name is Michel. I’m a researcher, software developer, musician, and photographer living in Germany. I’m deputy department head of the Spatial Information Management competence center of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD in Darmstadt, Germany. My research interests are in Big Data and Cloud Computing as well as Compiler Construction and Language Recognition (in particular for Domain-Specific Languages). I’m development lead of the 3D GIS area and contribute to several EC-funded research projects. I hold a master’s degree in computer science from the THM Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen – University of Applied Sciences, Gießen, Germany.
