Python: How to remove text within round brackets?

I tried this but it doesn't work

return re.sub('([^)]*)','', myResultStats.text)

suggestions?

Try this:

return re.sub('\(.*?\)','', myResultStats.text)

Parentheses denote capture groups, so you have to escape them.
